Planning your professional development has never been easier. CPD Home has done the hard work for you. Read our helpful tips below to kick-start your new CPD year!

Our 2025 program is even easier than last year, AND is your go-to guide for planning your CPD year. Read our Quick Start Guide: Unpacking the CPD Home Program Guide 2025 to learn about the program. If you are a specialist with mandatory high-level CPD requirements set by the Medical Board of Australia (MBA), our new Quick Start Guide: Unpacking the Specialist High-Level CPD Requirements for 2025 may assist. 

Write your CPD Plan 

Use our CPD Plan to write your annual learning goals, identify your learning focus topic areas and the types of activities you are considering engaging in that align with your registered scope of practice. 

Tip: If you haven’t written a CPD Plan before, CPD Home offers a free, self-paced online module to guide you through completing this mandatory CPD activity. Our Planning for Learning 2025 Educational Activity provides guidance to plan your CPD activities that support your professional goals, while meeting your CPD obligations relevant to your registered scope of practice under the MBA’s Registration Standard: Continuing professional development (the Standard).  

Search our CPD Home Catalogue 

With a vast array of CPD activities, the CPD Home Catalogue is well equipped to cater to your professional learning needs.  

Both Domain 1: Educational Activities and Domain 2: Reviewing Performance and Measuring Outcomes CPD activities can be accessed through the Catalogue.  

Tip: Don’t forget the many things you do in your working week may equate to CPD hours. Please read page 7 of the CPD Home Program Guide to learn more.  

Keep an eye on your progress 

Your CPD Tracker Dashboard provides a real-time view of your progress in meeting the Standard and the CPD Home Program requirements over the course of the CPD year.  

Need a lifeline to record your completed 2024 CPD activities and supporting evidence? 

Don’t worry! With CPD Home you can record last year’s CPD activities and upload your supporting evidence until 31 March. Be sure you select the correct year before you upload your activities, so it doesn’t log against the current year. Read our Quick Start Guide: Self-record your CPD activity to learn more.  

Set yourself up for CPD success this year 

CPD Home have devised an easy Stepwise Plan to support you in meeting your annual CPD requirements. 

Tip: By the end of the first quarter, you should have accrued up to 17 CPD hours with a minimum of 4.5 hours for Domain 1 CPD activities and 8.5 hours for Domain 2 CPD activities.
