Meeting CPD Compliance

Am I ‘CPD compliant’ yet?

Each year, Australian registered doctors must comply with the mandatory CPD requirements in accordance with the Standard* and the requirements of their CPD home’ to maintain medical registration with Ahpra.
The AMA CPD Home Program Guide outlines the mandatory CPD requirements for those doctors who choose AMA CPD Home as their ‘CPD home’.

The Dashboard on the AMA CPD Home Tracker is accessible to all Subscribers and demonstrates progress against those mandatory CPD requirements in real time.

Subscribers know when they meet compliance because their annual CPD Statement of Completion is visible on the CPD Tracker Dashboard and all mandatory requirements are marked with a green tick when fulfilled.

Below is a quick checklist for AMA CPD Home Subscribers to ensure compliance.

Each year, CPD homes must report CPD compliance to Ahpra of their subscribers/members from the preceding year by 30 June.

Have you:

Submitted your written CPD Plan
Recorded 50 hours of CPD activities across both Domains of learning, completing the minimum hourly requirement for each
Attached supporting evidence to all self-recorded CPD activities
Assigned all four CAPE aspects to a relevant activity
Submitted your CPD Reflection
Met any high-level requirements (HLRs) for your specialty, if required

If you were an AMA CPD Home Subscriber last year and think you met the mandatory CPD requirements but cannot see your annual Statement of Completion on your CPD Tracker Dashboard, please contact us immediately, before 31 March this year, so we can assist you before your CPD Tracker closes.
