Late last year, Australia’s first Cyber Security Act passed through Parliament, along with amendments to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Security of Critical Infrastructure Act 2018, resulting in a greater onus on businesses to protect their patients from cyber attacks and security breaches.
