Paediatric topics, Follicular disorders and Blistering disorders

Description

The Paediatric Topics, Follicular Disorders, and Blistering Disorders course is structured into three units, each focusing on specific dermatological conditions.

Unit 1: Paediatric Dermatology
This unit explores uncommon paediatric skin conditions, such as cutaneous mastocytosis, acrodermatitis enteropathica, Gianotti-Crosti syndrome, viral exanthems, impetigo, and infantile hemangiomas. Each condition is discussed in detail with clinical images to help participants identify and diagnose these skin disorders in children. Treatment options, including reassurance and medical interventions, are also highlighted to improve patient care.

Unit 2: Hair Follicle Disorders
This unit focuses on various disorders affecting the hair follicles, including superficial and deep folliculitis, keratin disorders, and more serious conditions like hidradenitis suppurativa. Participants will learn about the underlying causes, diagnostic markers, and treatment strategies for these conditions, with a focus on both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.

Unit 3: Blistering Disorders
This unit covers rare blistering disorders, also known as vesicobullous diseases, such as pemphigoid, pemphigus, and epidermolysis bullosa. It delves into the immune mechanisms behind these disorders, discusses the clinical presentation, and explores various treatment options, including topical and systemic therapies to manage these chronic and sometimes life-threatening conditions.

This course equips medical professionals with practical skills and knowledge to diagnose and manage a range of dermatological conditions, enhancing their ability to provide comprehensive care to patients.
