Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis affect more than 180,000 Australians and require ongoing, coordinated care. General practitioners are essential to effective, multidisciplinary management of these chronic conditions, but many report limited training and confidence in this area.
Workshop 5 in this national education series explores age- and stage-specific considerations in IBD care—from childhood through to older age.
This 90-minute, live, online session provides GPs with practical tools and clinical strategies to better support patients at key life transitions.
Topics include:
Led by a multidisciplinary panel of GPs, gastroenterologists, and educators, the session features case-based learning, peer discussion, and practical tools aligned with national clinical guidelines.
