Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the potential to revolutionise health practices and patient-practitioner relationships. AI could be used to streamline administrative tasks, supporting the diagnosis of illnesses, and supporting the provision of personalised treatment plans. The ability to quickly process vast amounts of data could provide greater accuracy in diagnosis and could enable healthcare professionals more time to ensure more positive patient outcomes.
However, embracing AI in health practices isn't without risks. There are very clear legal requirements around the use of AI, specifically in health contexts. Concerns about data privacy, the potential for errors in AI-driven diagnostics, and the ethical implications of machine decisions in healthcare are significant. These risks necessitate a balanced and informed approach to AI implementation.
