Unit 1: Childhood Nutrition - Part A
This unit introduces the nutritional requirements for infants and children, focusing on the importance of the first 1,000 days, breastfeeding, formula feeding, and the introduction of solid foods. It covers the Australian dietary guidelines for children, emphasising age-appropriate nutrition, including iron-rich first foods, the role of breast milk or formula, and the transition to family foods.
