The broad spectrum of BCC and keratinocyte skin cancer

Description

Broad Spectrum of BCC & Keratinocyte Skin Cancer provides an advanced understanding of diagnosing and managing basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and keratinocyte skin cancers using dermoscopy. This course is presented by Prof. Harald Kittler, a globally recognized expert in dermoscopy and digital skin analysis. It is ideal for healthcare professionals aiming to refine their diagnostic skills and broaden their knowledge of epithelial cancers.

The course delves into the diverse presentations, diagnostic strategies, and management of epithelial skin cancers, with a focus on:
- Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC):
- Variants include nodular, superficial, pigmented, and aggressive types like sclerosing and infiltrative BCC.
- Dermoscopic clues such as arborizing vessels, radial lines, blue clods, and ulceration.
- Rare subtypes like fibroepithelioma of Pinkus and basosquamous carcinoma.
- Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC):
- Differentiating highly and poorly differentiated SCC.
- Key markers, including keratin plugs, blood spots, and white circles.
- Progression from actinic keratosis to invasive SCC.
- Bowen’s Disease and Actinic Keratosis:
- Characteristic dermoscopic features like dots arranged in lines, scale, and coiled vessels.
- Discussion of pigmented variants and challenges in differential diagnosis.
- Other Rare Epithelial Cancers:
- Merkel-cell carcinoma and atypical fibroxanthoma, their dermoscopic patterns, and diagnostic strategies.

This course combines high-quality visuals, interactive assessments, and expert-led discussions to ensure participants gain practical, evidence-based skills for diagnosing and treating keratinocyte skin cancers.
