Finding accredited CPD
The aim of the workshop is to introduce participants to a range of modern technology and treatment modalities that they may offer patients for common skin diseases that present in general practice. Taking an integrated and holistic approach, participants review skin diseases and concerns that present in practice (an estimated 80% of general practice patients will present to their doctor with some form of skin disorder that causes cosmetic concern in their lifetime). Examples include: acne, rosacea and sun-damaged skin.
Participants will review facial and neck anatomy, topical treatment aids, consent and medico-legal concepts as they apply to aesthetic medicine, treatment options (chemical peels for the treatment of active acne and scarring for example) and laser and light devices used in skin medicine to remediate skin diseases, scarring and sun-damage.
