Medical Board of Australia: Guidelines for registered medical practitioner who perform cosmetic procedures
In 2022 the Medical Board of Australia released the Guidelines for registered medical practitioner who perform cosmetic procedures., outlining the expectations of the board in relation to cosmetic medicine. This reflected an important change towards training, practice and CPD requirements.
This resource has been created so that practitioners can review the guidelines but also explore the inter-related Acts and guidelines that are applicable. This guide is introductory and practitioners are required to satisfy themselves they have met their obligations as set out by the Medical Board of Australia.
